Open Day

Our next open day at the Tovil site, Church Road, for new entrants to Reception Class in September 2009 is on Friday 9th January at 9.30 am. Come to find out about the exciting new school building, our curriculum and ethos and look around our infant site. You will be very welcome. If you would like to visit at another time, please telephone the school for an appointment (01622 754894).

Harvest

Our youngest children love singing and entertained residents at The Heaven and Betsy Clara with their singing. They took fruit, bisucits and chocoalte too as Harvest gifts.

Children on the Town site held an Autumn Fair. Apples seemed to feature a lot with an apple pie cafe, freshly pressed apple juice, chocolate coated apples and cakes, popcorn and other goodies available. We raised nearly £70 for The Dandelion Trust.

Children in Need

We recently raised money for Children in Need by wearing 'Pudsey colours' to school for a day. It finshed a special theme week for us, celebrating 'Being different, belonging together.'

Violins

Children in Year 5 began learning how to play the violin last year. The Kent Messenger newspaper was also interested. Click here to read their report. Now some of the children have decided to continue into a second year. They're doing very well.

The Schools Prom

Monday 10th November was a very special day for our choir of Year 5 and 6 children who took part in the Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. It was the end product of weeks of rehearsal of some specially composed Autumn songs for the Kent Massed Choir of 500 children, sponsored by 'Sing Up.' Parents joined us for the concert and everyone took part in the traditional finale, singing 'Land of Hope and Glory.'

Well done to everyone who took part - a proud day for us all to remember.
