The Friends of ABC Fundraising Committee
The Friends of ABC are a group of parents who joined together to volunteer their time to organise events to raise money for the school to promote and complement the education of the children at Archbishop Courtenay Primary School. We are supported by the Headteacher, the Pastoral & Wellbeing Manager (previously known as the FLO), the teachers and support staff.
We have held a variety of fundraising events throughout the year which have included a chocolate workshop, Race for Life, coffee mornings, second hand uniform sales, Mum’s the word room, Santa’s Grotto, Easter raffle, Year 6 Leavers’ Disco plus more. We are always working on new events and we meet up regularly as a committee at least termly if not more frequently to plan, organise and discuss our future events.
We all work very hard as a team and, most importantly, we listen and respect each other and each other’s views.
“Mission Statement” Friends of ABC
Develop effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school combining forgiveness, fellowship and compassion in our daily movements.
Arrange events and activities that raise funds for equipment and projects in the school and enhance the education of the pupils.
Organise school events for the enjoyment of the pupils, their families and the wider community.
We all enjoy our position on the committee and we make it fun while we plan all new events and we are all very passionate about our group.
If you feel you would like to be involved with our committee, even if you are unable to commit on a regular basis, then please contact me to find out more information and we can discuss this.
Feel free to stop me in the playground for a chat, email me or drop me a note in our letterbox which is situated in the main reception.
