Phonics

Click on the following link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP_FbjYUP_UtldV2K_-niWw/playlists and click on 'Autumn Term Reception Lessons'. Watch a different video each day.

Literacy

This week we are going to be sequencing the story of 'Naughty Bus'. First listen to the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqQ1BAEj1oE

Talk about the story, what happened first? Then what happened?

Can you sequence the story, perhaps you could draw a story map to illustrate the journey the bus went on, like the example below. Like the example, can you add labels onto your story map?

Week 2: 9th November 2020:

This week we will be learning the letters and sounds: l, f, ff, ll, ss

Have a go at writing the letters, naming the letter and the sound they make, and identifying them in words (Can you find objects with the sound in? Can you see the letter in written words?)

Can you read these words for these letters and sounds:

l:

lap, let, leg, lot, lit, laptop

f:

of, if, fit, fin, fun, fig, fog, fan, fat

ff:

off, puff, huff, cuff

ll:

ss:

less, hiss, mass, mess, boss, fuss, hiss, kiss

Literacy

This week in Literacy we are focusing on identifying the sounds in words. First of all can you complete the 'Phase 2 Initial sounds activity' below. Can you find the objects that start with the sounds given?

Then move on and see if you can hear the three sounds in the CVC words. Remember it is one letter in each box of the phoneme frame.
