Good morning and happy Friday!

Today your task is to write a monologue from the point of view of one of the characters we have studied this week:

  • Frank Wild
  • Frank Hurley
  • Thomas Odes-Lee
  • Ernest Shackleton

Your monologue should include the following SPaG features:

  • similes
  • metaphors
  • main clauses
  • subordinate clauses
  • compound sentences
  • complex sentences
  • co-ordinating conjunctions (FANBOYS)
  • subordinating conjunctions

 

Think about everything you know about your character and the journey they have experienced so far and include their hopes and fears for the future as they camp down on the ice having watched the Endurance sink.

Today's work has been set as an Assignment on Teams so please upload and submit your work to us there.
