Lesson 3

Lesson 3

Read the next two chapters, Christopher's House and Driving.

Think about the argument between Auggies' parents and list the reasons for and against Auggie going to school.

If we had been in class, we would have acted out the argument that we imagine Mum and Dad might have had (though it is not mentioned in the story).

I wonder how you might present the argument. You could draw a cartoon strip of Mum and Dad arguing (using speech bubbles) or perhaps write a play script of the two of them argument.

Now answer these questions:

Does each parent have a valid point of view?

Who is right?

Is there a right or wrong response?

Don't forget to add notes to your 'important sayings' sheet.

Homework

Read from Paging Mr Tushman  to The Performance Space ready for the next lesson.
