    Welcome to Term 6

    Our new topic is 'We are going to the zoo!' 

    We will be looking and learning about different zoo animals as well as reading the books: Zoo by Anthony Browne, How to be a Lion by Ed Vere, and Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae & Guy Parker-Rees.     We would like to encourage you to check in on the class pages regularly for home learning ideas, activities, inspiration and a story share or two or three.  Today's inspiration comes to you from the  illustrator Rob Biddulph who will be hosting a #DrawWithBob every Tuesday and Thursday.

    Grab a piece of paper and a pencil and get stuck in, whatever your age.

    This is Environmental week! Look at our fantastic posters we made after reading the book 10 things I can do to help my world.

    World Book Week - well done for all the fantastic t-shirts decorated to the children's favourite book.

    Welcome to Term 4 and our topic Jurassic. We had a great Launch Day finding out about fossils; making fossils and dinosaur bones.

    Welcome to Term 3 and our new topic of Zoom. For our Launch Day we dressed up as vehicle drivers - can you guess which vehicle driver we were? We also looked at different types of transport in the present day and the past.

    We have made some vehicles using construction. Can you name the vehicle we have made?

    Learning Journal work - we looked for 2D and 3D shapes around our homes and named the shapes and their properties.

    On Friday we went out to the allotment and made home for mini beasts with natural objects. We also found some mini beasts. Can you guess which mini beast we made the home for?

    Our Design Technology project this term was to design a vehicle. Some of our vehicles had axles and wheels.

    Welcome to Term 2 and our topic of Frozen. We had a great Launch Day dressed as Explorers and characters from the film and story Frozen.

    For our home learning we found out about different animals, what they look like, where they live and what they eat. We could also create our own animal.

    This week we made our own crowns for the princess in the story of The Princess and the White Bear KIng.

    We shared and played our games and activities that we made for our Learning Journal home learning.

    Incarnation - we have built up our RE area in our classroom by listening to the nativity story, acting out the story and creating the nativity characters using collage.

    Learning Journal homework - we found out and named the 7 continents and the 5 oceans of the world.

    On Friday we walked down to the church to have a look at the signs and symbols of Christmas in All Saints Church.

    Welcome to Term 1 in Swallows Class. Our topic is Space and space explorers. We had a great Launch Day making our own rockets, space port holes and space pictures.

    Our Science topic is about humans. We explored our 5 senses.

    Our RE topic is Creation. We learnt about who created the world and how God created the world in 7 days.
