Phonics
We are revisiting the sounds we already know before moving onto the alternative sounds. It is very important we do our phonics every day. Our lesson today will be continuing to practise blending consonants and reading long vowel sounds.
Spellings
Today we are going to be looking at the alternative sound for the 'i' grapheme. Make sure you have a piece of paper and a pencil to write down the words adding in the sound buttons. Practise reading them. Can you think of any more words with the alternative sound?
English
In English today we will be writing a letter to the man in the story. We will be adding the suffixes -er or -est to adjectives when we compare the landscapes before and after he built his rocket. You can see the full lesson here.
Physical Education
Today you are going to perform dances using simple movement patterns. You will be able to sequence movement patterns and develop balance and co-ordination.
Follow along with the BBC sounds recording to create a dance sequence within the theme of a dinosaur museum.
