Read the passage below aloud to an adult, then aloud to yourself and then quietly in your head before answering the questions.

Could you write some expanded noun phrases in sentences using the words?

Could you now choose 4 of your own nouns (remember a noun is a name of a person, place or object) and make them in to noun phrases in sentences.

Now see if you can use some of your words you used to describe Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf on Monday and Tuesday to make extended noun phrases in sentences. i.e.
you have the words Bilbo Baggins, dwarf, human, no beard.
The dwarf, Bilbo Baggins who was about half the size of a human had brown hair but no beard.
Gandalf - hat, staff, coat, the hill.
The tall wizard Gandalf, who was wearing a dark coat, had a long pointed hat and held a bony staff stick as he walked down towards the hill.
