Focus: Inuit Art

 

LI: To gather, record and develop ideas in a mood board.

 

To begin with watch the video below to help you understand where the Inuit Art movement comes from and what it involves:

Can you name 3 different styles of art used in Inuit art and craft?

 

Next you need to make some observations about this style of art.  What else is common about this type of art?  Consider:

 

  • Animals
  • Colours
  • shape/tone
  • form and style
  • pattern

 

Use a computer or a tablet alongside the Inuit Art Work sheets in the files below to create a personal mood board about Inuit Art.  I have included 2 examples - one in the form of a sketchbook entry and the other a digital mood board made on a computer.  How you choose to present your work is up to you.  Remember to send your work in via Teams or the class emails.
