Reading Challenge 23-24

This year, we are launching a brand new Reading challenge across the school.

Each Key Stage has created their own bank of 6 or 7 activities for your child to complete over the 2 terms. Once they have been completed, please post a photo on Class Dojo for your class teacher to approve and your child can then tick off that activity from their list.

Once all activities on the reading challenge have been completed, your child will be awarded a prize and certificate!

We can't wait to start the Reading Challenge at ABC!

FAQs

How many do we have to complete?

All challenges must be competed.

Do we need to do 1 every week?

You can do them in any order and at any speed. If you want to do 2 in 1 week that is fine. If you want to complete them all in the first term that is also fine. The only deadline is that they are completed by the end of term 4 (Thursday 28th March).

How do we prove it has been done?

Pictures need to be uploaded on Class Dojo along with a short book review, so that your class teacher can tick them off. We will have a class tracker in the classroom to mark these off and we will share as many of your challenges as possible.

What are the prizes?

Children will be allowed to choose a new book to keep from our Reading Challenge book shelves in Mrs Heather's office! The shelves are updated regularly and there is a wide selection of books to choose from.

Good luck!
