Practical Fractions

 

If you can... Make sure to catch our live lesson at 09:10AM today! It will really help with today's learning!

Today you are going to be practically demonstrating what a fraction is using items around your house/environment!

 

You will need to choose from a list of bronze, silver or gold fractions to show using your items.

 

Bronze - ½, 1/3, ¼, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 2/4, 3/6

Silver - ½, 1/3, ¼, 1/5, 2/6, 3/7, 4/8, 5/9.

Gold - ½, 1/3, ¼, 2/5, 3/6, 6/7, 3/8, 1 and 2/4, 5/15, 2 and 3/11

 

Take pictures of you showing these items off and send through to us via TEAMS or email. 

 

If you miss the live session, watch the recording to help you. You can find it by scrolling through the comments of the live session for maths in USK2 Teams channel. 

 

Finally, check out an example below for showing 1/3 by using 1 out of three cushions as white.
