Light and Dark Launch day

30th October

Today was our exciting launch day for our new topic for Term 2. We had a great day exploring light and dark, we started by making dark dens and using the torches, we then created some beautiful art work of the night and daytime sky, we also played a shadow game where we had to copy our partners actions. Have a look at our costumes and activities below.

Our first P.E. lesson!

Remembrance Day

Today we had a special assembly for remembrance day, we listened to stories about the war, sang some songs and had a two minute silence. We made poppy pictures using pastels and made our own poppies to help us remember.

Children in Need 2019 - we came into school wearing something spotty!

Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Dinner

Term 3 Launch day: 'Once upon a time...'

Today we had our fabulous launch day for our new topic, as usual on a launch day we got to come into school dressed up as a character from a fairytale or a traditional tale. We had a wonderful range of costumes from the Gingerbread man to Snow White. During the day we explored different traditional tales that we will be learning about this term, we started by going on a hunt outside for objects from the story of Goldilocks, we were so surprised to even find poor baby bears broken chair!! We then painted our favourite characters, made gingerbread men from paper and added sweets to some real gingerbread men to eat....yum yum! We had a great day and cannot wait to learn more about these stories.

Making Gingerbread men!

This week we have been busy making our very own gingerbread men. We listened carefully to the instructions and measured out the correct amounts to make the dough, once they were cooked we got to decorate them and then eat them! In Literacy we then wrote our own set of instructions telling others how to make gingerbread men, we included a list of ingredients and equipment that you need.

The Cirucs Is Coming: Launch Day: 26th February

World Book Day: 5th March 2020

Today we celebrated world book day, we came to school in t-shirts we had decorated with our favourite book on. We then did lots of fun activities related to different books and performed a dance to parents at the end of the day.

Our Mother's Day drawings in the KM newspaper this week

In R.E we have been learning about Easter. We have been thinking about why this is a special time for Christians and what happend to Jesus at this time. We made our own crosses and thought about the colours we were going to use and how the colours helped us to remember parts of the story.
