Welcome to Wednesday! Today, Miss Flisher is in class hosting the live lessons and with Mr Biddlecombe and Miss Copley online to support you! See today's work below.

Morning wake up - 15 minutes

Take up the Daily mile Challenge HERE!

LIVE Lesson - Miss Flisher - Maths - 9:10am

Maths - 50 minutes

This week, we will be completing some quizzes on number and place value, beginning our fractions unit and entering a maths competition! For today's lesson, click the picture-link below to be sent to your TEAMS assignment page and complete the 'Year _____, Maths - multiplication and division' assignment. Do this on TEAMS as this will give you instant feedback and mark it as you go. This will not go live until 09:00AM! Please note we have tried to input the answers in a variety of ways, so please rest assured we will be checking and if you are correct but we didn't think to add your way of recording into the possible answers for the computer to mark against - we will award you the marks! :)

Spelling - 15 minutes

This weeks spellings come from the statutory spelling lists.  These are words you should be able to spell and use in your writing. Go the spelling page by clicking the image below and then pick either bronze, silver or gold words. Your activity today is on the same page.

LIVE Lesson - Miss Flisher - English - 11:00am

English - 50 minutes

This week we will be writing our own adventure narratives based off Shackleton's journey. Yesterday, we created our timelines for our adventure stories after listening to the end of Shackleton's Journey being read by Miss Copley on Monday. Today we are authors and are writing our adventure narratives using our plans! Remember to have the audience in mind when writing your stories: who are your characters? What's going to happen to them? Have you planned out what will happen at the end of your story so you can work backwards from there? Try to keep your audience in suspense and give them enough detail so they can picture in their minds what you can in yours. Click the picture-link below to see more information and resources for your task and make sure to tune in to the live lesson at 11:00am!

There will be a pre-recorded video of Miss Copley reading the book which you will be able to find on TEAMS tomorrow. The picture-link is below!

Reading Skills

This week, we will be completing some quizzes on reading! For today's lesson, click the picture-link below to be sent to your TEAMS assignment page and complete the 'Year _____, Reading - Inference' assignment.
