Good morning! Miss Copley, Miss Flisher and Mr Biddlecombe will be in school planning away for next week's learning today so they'll be no live sessions but plenty for you to be doing with some pre-recorded videos too!

An arithmetic assignment has been set up for you in Teams as a quiz! This will be in bronze, silver or gold or recap and consolidate level and it will give you instant feedback on whether you are correct or not!

Spellings

This week we are looking at the -able rule in spellings. Go the spelling page by clicking the image below and then pick either bronze, silver or gold words. Your activity today is on the same page.

English

Today, you will be pulling together all your work on Haikus so far! Yesterday, you wrote a variety of phrases, that were either 5 or 7 syllables long, around different emotions. This week, we've been focusing on Mental health too and in PSHE, Mrs Copley asked us to draw self portraits of us showing different emotions. Today, we would like you combine all of these ideas to create a poster of at least four different haikus about four different emotions. Choose your vocabulary wisely and feel free to decorate your poster with the ideas from the PSHE lessons. Make sure you check out the extra information and resources by clicking on the English icon below.

There will be a prerecorded video of Miss Copley reading the book which you will be able to find on TEAMS tomorrow. You will need to make sure you are all caught up and up-to-date. Ensure you have listened up to the latest chapter.

Reading

For your last lesson of the week, complete the comprehension by following the picture-link below. If you have missed previous reading lessons this week you can use this time to catch up by starting at chapter 1 then move to chapter 5 and then finally, chapter 10. 

Modern Foreign Languages - French

This week, your 'Language nut' login details were sent to you over class emails (if you haven't received these, make sure to re-check your inbox, junk folder and then contact your class teacher). Use these and follow the picture-link below to complete the assignment set for you today. There is an assignments tab on the left-hand side of the screen and it should be live on Friday (not before). Make sure to select 'French'!
